This notice explains what personal data Heart of the Party collects across our shop, planner and studios (OwambeOS, InvitationStudio, BooklingStudio), why, and your rights under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA).
What we collect
- Account details: your name, phone number, email address, and your Google name and email if you sign in with Google.
- Orders and bookings: delivery address, items, event date, guest count and payment status. Paystack processes card and bank details; we never see or store your full card number.
- Event data you add: guest names and phone numbers, invitation designs, and names, ages and photos for keepsake books.
- Messages you send us on WhatsApp, phone or email.
Why we use it
- To take and deliver orders, run your event tools and give you support (performing our contract with you).
- To send reminders and offers, only when you agree (consent). You can withdraw at any time.
- To prevent fraud and keep records the law requires (legitimate interest and legal obligation).
Guests' data
When you add guests to an event, you control that list. We use guest phone numbers only to send that event's invitations and updates, never for our own marketing.
Children's data and AI
For keepsake books and party plans we may use a child's name, age and photos that a parent or guardian provides. We never send a child's photo to an AI tool without that parent's explicit consent, and you can delete it at any time.
Some features use AI providers to draft stories, images and product copy. Our staff review AI drafts before anything is published on our shop.
Who we share it with
Only the service providers that run our business: Paystack (payments), our hosting and database providers, SMS/WhatsApp and email delivery services, and AI providers for the features above. Some may process data outside Nigeria under safeguards the NDPA allows. We don't sell personal data.
How long we keep it
Account and event data for as long as your account is open; order and payment records for six years for tax purposes; sign-in codes for minutes.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, download or delete your data, object to its use, or withdraw consent. Reply STOP on WhatsApp to stop messages. Contact us below; we reply within 30 days. You can also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
Cookies
We use a sign-in cookie shared across our apps and a cart stored in your browser. We don't use advertising cookies.
